Privacy Policy

Effective September 8, 2026.

Wooden Hill Brewing Company (“Wooden Hill,” “we,” “us”) runs woodenhillbrewing.com. This page explains what information the site collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. It’s written in plain English on purpose. Questions? Email [email protected] or write to us at 7421 Bush Lake Rd, Edina, MN 55439.

Information you give us

We only collect what you type into a form on the site:

  • Contact and question forms: your name, email address, the topic you pick, and your message.
  • Private event inquiries: the details you enter in the inquiry form — name, email, phone, event type, date, guest count, and notes. That form is run by Perfect Venue, the booking service our events team works from, so Perfect Venue’s privacy policy also applies.
  • Newsletter and makers-market signups: your first name and email address, which go to Mailchimp, the service that sends our emails (Mailchimp’s privacy policy). Every email we send has an unsubscribe link.
  • Donation requests: your contact details, your organization’s name, address, and website, whether it is a nonprofit, and your description of the cause and event.
  • Job applications: your name and contact details, your answers to the application questions, and the resume and cover letter you upload.
  • “Bring it back” beer requests: only the beer you picked. We don’t collect your name. To count one request per person per day, we store a scrambled (hashed) version of your internet address that cannot be turned back into the address itself.

Form submissions are delivered to our staff by email (through Resend, our email delivery service) and, if email delivery ever fails, to our private staff Slack channel — so a message is never lost. We keep submissions for as long as we need them to respond to you, run the event, or consider your application, and delete them when they’re no longer needed.

Information collected automatically

Analytics and advertising. We use Google Tag Manager to run Google Analytics, Google Ads, and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) advertising tools. These set cookies and collect things like the pages you view, how you arrived at the site (for example, from an ad or a search result), your approximate location, and a device identifier. We use this to understand how the site is used and whether our advertising works — including whether an ad led to a private-event inquiry. Google and Meta may also use this information under their own policies: see how Google uses information from sites that use its services, Google’s privacy policy, and Meta’s privacy policy.

How to opt out of ad tracking:

Campaign memory. If you arrive from an ad or a link with campaign tags in the address, the site remembers those tags in your browser for 30 days, so we know which campaign an inquiry came from. That note stays on your device and clears itself.

Small browser settings. The site remembers, in your browser only, whether you’ve dismissed the newsletter invitation and which beers you’ve asked us to bring back.

Bot protection. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to block spam. It briefly processes your internet address and browser details to tell a person from a bot (Turnstile privacy policy).

Hosting. The site is served by Cloudflare, which processes internet addresses and request details to deliver pages and keep the site secure (Cloudflare’s privacy policy).

Embedded content. Some pages include content from other services — a Google map of our location, YouTube videos (loaded in privacy-enhanced mode), and the Perfect Venue inquiry form. Those services may set their own cookies when that content loads. Links to Toast (online ordering and gift cards) take you to Toast’s site, where Toast’s privacy policy applies.

What we never do

  • We don’t sell your personal information.
  • We don’t share it with anyone except the service providers named above, who handle it only on our behalf — and when the law requires it.
  • We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. This site is about beer; it’s meant for adults.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, or unsubscribe from our emails using the link in any of them. Email [email protected] and we’ll respond within 45 days. Minnesota law gives residents specific rights over their personal data; we honor these requests from anyone, wherever you live.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, the date at the top changes and the new version applies from then on.
