OKTBRFEST – Festbier
First Released: September, 2018
A crisp Pilsner malt base with light caramel and biscuit flavors. Party like it’s 1810 with this traditional German beer!
Background
The Oktoberfest celebration we know today originated in 1810, when Crown Prince Ludwig took Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildberghausen as his bride in Munich, Germany. A special beer was brewed for the event and thus the lore of Oktoberfest began.
While the actual beer served in the modern Oktoberfest celebration is more along the lines of a Helles Lager, the more historic interpretation of the style is an amber colored lager with some malt flavor with a crisp finish.
