Espresso Crow – Imperial Stout

First Released: March 21st, 2018

Chocolate Crow, meet Espresso Crow.

Our first high ABV beer release is a rich, dark imperial stout brewed with 2 pounds of espresso beans for a roasted chocolate finish. Only a small batch was made, so get it on tap and in big-cans to go, before it’s gone!

Background

The second in our “Crow” series of dark beers, Espresso Crow is an imperial stout. Terms like imperial or double simply mean higher in alcohol and date back to the original practice of literally doubling the ingredients in a recipe but keeping the volume of liquid the same.

In that tradition, Espresso Crow has many of the same ingredients and brewing practices of it’s lighter cousin, Chocolate Crow, but with an emphasis on espresso flavor and an ABV that packs a punch.

To prevent patrons from over-imbibing, Espresso Crow will only be served in a half pour or smaller size, never in a pint.
