A Public Hearing With the Edina City Council…

Cleared!

On the evening of Tuesday, Febuary 7, 2018, the City Council opened the floor to public testimony on behalf of our application to gain taproom approval.

Mayor Hovland invited us to the podium to speak about Wooden Hill and answer questions from Council Members. We explained the history behind the name, our initial beer lineup, and how it all got started. After offering the microphone to anyone who wished to voice any additional testimony (there was none), the Council voted to approve Wooden Hill Brewing Company as the first “brewer taproom” in Edina.

While this was the expected outcome after passing all of the pre-requisite background checks, insurance requirements, etc, etc…we still felt immense relief and triumph finally making it to this point.

Thank you for supporting us and for all the words of encouragement we received leading up to this moment. It’s helped us push through the countless hours and sleepless nights bringing Wooden Hill from a distant dream to the here and now. 

The beer will be flowing in just a few days!
